ISO 14001:2015 Environment Management System:
NATPET is certified on ISO 14001:2015 standard since 2009. This certificate is awarded by ABS Quality Evaluation, Houston USA, Accredited by ANAB (ANSI-ASQ) American National Accreditation Board. Certification is maintained through regular surveillance.
ISO 14001:2015 specifies the requirements for an environmental management system that an organization can use to enhance its environmental performance. ISO 14001:2015 is intended for use by an organization seeking to manage its environmental responsibilities in a systematic manner that contributes to the environmental pillar of sustainability.
ISO 14001:2015 helps an organization achieve the intended outcomes of its environmental management system, which provide value for the environment, the organization itself and interested parties. Consistent with the organization’s environmental policy, the intended outcomes of an environmental management system include:
- enhancement of environmental performance;
- fulfilment of compliance obligations;
- achievement of environmental objectives.
ISO 14001:2015 is applicable to any organization, regardless of size, type and nature, and applies to the environmental aspects of its activities, products and services that the organization determines it can either control or influence considering a life cycle perspective. ISO 14001:2015 does not state specific environmental performance criteria.
ISO 14001:2015 can be used in whole or in part to systematically improve environmental management. Claims of conformity to ISO 14001:2015, however, are not acceptable unless all its requirements are incorporated into an organization’s environmental management system and fulfilled without exclusion.
NATPET has acquired accreditation against ISO 17025:2005 – laboratory test reliability and calibration since October 2011. The certification is accredited by the Dubai Accreditation. The renewal of certification audit was successful completed on dated December 14, 201 and continuity has been recommended.
ISO 17025:2005 specifies the general requirements for the competence to carry out tests and/or calibrations, including sampling. It covers testing and calibration performed using standard methods, non-standard methods, and laboratory-developed methods. It is applicable to all organizations performing tests and/or calibrations.
ISO 17025:2005 is for use by laboratories in developing their management system for quality, administrative and technical operations.

ISO 45001:2018 Health & Safety Management System
NATPET has been audited by ABS-QE (USA) for recertification against ISO 14001:2018 Standard on dated 20th to 26th March 2021. Based on the result Occupational Health and Safety Assessment certification has been granted to National Petrochemical Industrial Company.

It exists to help all kinds of organizations put in place demonstrably sound occupational health and safety performance. It is a widely recognized and popular occupational health and safety management system.
The ISO 14001 standard provides organizations with the elements of an effective safety management system which can be integrated with other management systems and help organizations achieve better occupational health and safety performance and economic objectives.
BS ISO 45001:2018 specifies requirements for an OH&S Management System to help an organization develop and implement a policy and objectives, which take into account legal requirements and information about OH&S risks. It applies to all types and sizes of organizations and accommodates diverse geographical, cultural and social conditions.

RC 14001:2015 Responsible Care – Environment, Health, Safety, Security Management System
National Petrochemical Industrial Company Achieves First with RC 14001:2015 Responsible care) Certification.
ABS Quality Evaluations, Houston USA, Inc. (ABS QE), a subsidiary of ABS Group, has awarded the National Petrochemical Industrial Company (NATPET) of Saudi Arabia the first issued RC 14001:2015 certificate globally. The RC14001® Technical Specification (2015 edition) combines elements of the American Chemistry Council’s (ACC) Responsible Care® initiative with those of the ISO Environmental Management Systems Standard, ISO 14001:2015).
The American Chemistry Council (ACC) has created two Technical Specifications that addresses the environment, health, safety and security. They are RC14001 and RCMS.
RC14001 is based on the ISO 14001 Environmental Management Systems (EMS) and has been expanded to address the Responsible Care® Principles. The registration to this standard will address all customer requirements for registration to ISO 14001.
The application of the RC 14001 standard is to provide organizations with the elements of an effective Environmental, Health, Safety & Security Management System (EHS&SMS) that can be integrated with or into other management systems requirements, to assist organizations achieve their environmental, health, safety, security and economic goals and objectives.

ISO 22000:2018 Food Safety Management System
NATPET is certified on ISO 22000:2018/HACCP for Food Grade PP resin.
